Wind energy

the Wind Energy is the one that have the wind as the source energy. The wind is produced by a thermal gradient generated with the Sun when heating the planet Earth, therefore somehow it can be classify as an Indirect Solar Energy.

This energy has been used form the beginning and the new wind energy systems are similar to the old ones. In advantage to the solar energy we have its actual efficiency and low cost. This is because the wind energy is a kinetic energy and most of our energy conversion are kinetic. We can find two big groups because its usage:

• Direct wind energy, mostly used in architecture either for thermal, humidity and health conditioning. (through ventilation and improves with evaporation, convection, conduction,...). Also has been used traditionally to move boats and vehicles either on sea and earth.
   
   

• Through middle systems, normally through all kind of mills to transform it into usable energy (electric generation, to mill wheat, pop up water,...)

Its problem is the non constant existence with great difference on speed even on same season. This makes necessary to improve mechanisms to handle this issue and get the most of it.
